Our story

It all started in December 2020 with one small idea: gifting $100 cash envelopes to restaurant workers impacted by the pandemic. What began as a goal to raise $1,200 quickly grew beyond imagination. With the help of an outpouring of community support, we raised over $30,000 and surprised more than 300 individuals with moments of hope when they needed it most.

This single act of kindness sparked a movement. What began as the “12 Days of Christmas” initiative evolved into Be The Joy Foundation, officially becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in late 2021. Today, we continue to build on that momentum, spreading joy and connection wherever it’s needed most.
